The convention will be held at Camp Keystone, a youth summer camp area. The camp has it's own webpage at www.campkeystone.net so you can check that for some pictures and other information of the location.
People who take the time to sleep in this weekend (you really want to miss that valuable juggling time?) can do so at the site in cabins (but pre-register to ensure a bed). Each cabin sleeps 8 - 10 people in bunk beds. So bring a bedroll, and expect to be sleeping above, below, or next to someone. Of course if you wish to bring a tent and set up, by all means do so. It will be a camp site after all, and you free up more bunks for those who want them.
There is enough space in the cabins to accommodate 200 people, the tentspace just adds up to that.
The Lakefront Camp has 6 duplex cabins (12 units) with shower and bathrooms. The Wilderness Camp has 13 cabins with two central bath houses.
The camp has a large lodge with kitchen facilities and seating for up to 200 guests. It is here that the feast and competition will be held (see under Events for more info on that). But it is a camp site! You will be camping. You will be hanging out in the Florida out-back for 3 days and 2 nights! Yes, you can drive your car 15 mins. And be partying at a state of the art disco-tech, but if you think you can walk down the street to a convenience store, think again! It's a five minute drive down Keystone's driveway. And another 5 to get to the nearest food store. And that's with a 35 mph speed increase off Keystone's driveway. Granted, you can buy food, drink, ATM, and such, from 'said' food store, but from 'Site,' you will be some-what isolated. Please keep this in mind and plan accordingly. There will be all the basic needs, food, water, shower, sleeping space, etc.etc.but, if you have to have your 'Ben & Jerry's, chocolate chip cookie dough' at 2 in the morning, better plan ahead. Buy yourself a cheap styro-cooler, on the way in, as well as a couple bags of ice, cause room service will involves taxi fare after that. Think of it as a Contact Juggling Retreat. *Grin*
