IMP, snakes are the four-ball lines that chase along in a serpentine manner. Apparently In Isolation is rocking the snake footage, at least that's what I heard

Having the ideas doesn't neccesarily mean i can DO those moves Laughing
I will be nice to have a chat about it though! Maybe we can think of more together, since two know more than one.

Well, let's get on topic again.
I'm curious to know what poi antispinning looks like.
Do you have a video i can take a look at?

Search for Antispin flowers on Home of Poi. It's a lovely looking move.

In mine and Colin's Hastings fun Video, I do an Anti spin weave in the elevator.

Otherwise, wait until next week, and I'll show you all things Anti spin that I know. Smile

imp - take a look at some of these photos of the lovely mr nick (from playpoi.com): http://www.flickr.com/photos/playpoi/sets/72057594064648586/

the 'loops' are the shapes produced when antispinning poi (like this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/playpoi/99927888/in/set-72057594064648586/)

Hi,
many things said ! Many thanks from all of you... Thank you to you !
So many answers.

In first I didn't invent nothing... it's also why at the end of the film, I thank Julien who taught me all the antispin theory. He practises Staffs and a bit of crystal balls manipulation.
He was the first to believe in antispin with balls. When he came back from the first Play festival, last year, he wrote an article about antispin in french and gave it to me.
He was talking about the different visual effects of antispin with differents juggling equipments : with pois, you made flower ; with staffs, you made stars.
With balls, I don't know what we make but it works as a staff : each ball is one extremity of a virtual small staff.
Anyway, Julien makes me believe in it and I developped balls antispin with his help and with Vincent, Rithy, Sylvain, Furex, Mistur and Fanny's help. Thank's to the Parisian crew !

I answer to many questions that you ask in this new theorical topic : antispin is not isolation but....

Yes, the visual effect work if you show your antispin from above and many figures are not understandable / viewable from the front.
I gave some names to some antispin figures :
- « La mouette » or « the sea gull » for the double antispin with two bleu balls in the same vertical level wich is going from the back to the front.
This figure is visual for audience in front of you.
- The same figures with the bleu line horizontaly (great if you find a name) works also.
- « Le trèfle à quatre feuilles » or « the four leaves clover » is the two « + » superimposed with all the balls in opposite ways. It doesn't work for front audience.

So, the conclusion is that you need to show to the audience the view from above the balls or else it not understandable and so, not nice ! It's allready what I propose here on maniballe.net. :)

There is a way for conturn this problem : work in the vertical plan :
It works very well with « the + cross » two balls two hands and you can make it in opposition with isolations in the 4 extremities of the vertical cross...
You can also make vertical antispin with 3b1h or 6b2h lifts. It works very well and open many possibility that you worked with 4b2h horizontal.

Last great things to work : many way to antispin only one ball.
I leave you find the way to do it and I prepare a video when I come back home in september.

Have great summer !

Antispinning one ball is what i'm working on rigth now, since i don't have that much balls and don't do any multiball at the moment.

Rigth now i have about 10 moves i thought of that theoretically should be able to do them in antispin (single ball moves). If i only think about what it will look like in two hands at the same time (if one handed), my jaw drops already Smile

I'm off to practice again!
