I've notcied that several people while CJing do this really smooth and cool glidey steppy thingy, and I was wondering how you do it, and whether or not there are any lesson/teachy thingies for it out there. Also, does it have a real name?
Thanks!

I've no idea what it's called, but I'm sure lots of people can do it here way better than me (it was only taught to me last week!).

Way I was taught was to do the following (assuming you're moving to the right):
1. Start with both feet pointing inwards a bit, at a 45 degree angle or so
2. Lift up the front of your right foot, weight on heel
3. Lift up the heel of your left foot, weight on the front
4. Rotate your feet to the right on the bit of them that's still touching the ground.
5. Both feet should now be pointing outwards at a 45 degree angle.
6. Go to step one, and repeat, but the other way round.

Er...not sure if that helps or not, easier to show in person

And someone here who's good at it can probably give you a few more tips!

Well I think that gets you moving sideways without much (or any if you're good!) vertial movement, so you can make it look like you're gliding sideways rather than taking steps and walking.

Need someone like Colin to explain really

You guys have to educate the guy. lol

What you have been seeing is floating, gliding, and sliding. Floating, gliding, and sliding are a part of dance styles like body poppin' and liquid. some contact jugglers use it in there acts to help out there isolations mainly. i suggest you look it up on wikipedia, there are also plenty of videos on youtube.com.

I just picked up contact juggling very recently, but I've been doing liquid pop and lock and popping for about 4 or 5 years. The two practices compliment each other well I think. I'm looking forward to contact juggling with some LED balls and incorporating liquid pop.

is that the same as liquid dancing? liquid dancing is amazing, you should do a video.
