I'm NOT going to say it.
But I will just say I met the real Basil Brush a couple of days ago, which leads me on to..
NIKA AND THE BRUSH!!!
That didn't feel so good actually.
Ah well, here goes nothing.
Turbo and the Broom!!!
Seriously, my quest for the perfect broom has nearly got me thrown out of two DIY shops and a Wilkinsons so far.
I came a bit too close to bashing an old lady whilst moonwalking with the broom and not looking where I was going.
Thanks for posting that!
Come Christmas time I swear I'm going to give you all 'Nika and the Broom'. _________________ Sausages and plants and goldfish |

Not me guv, it was just an echo of one of the millions of times I've said it before...
But I'm over it now, like.

still havent seen turbo and the broom, its downloading as i type, soon my wait will be over......of course when ive seen it all the mystery will be gone and my life will be dull and boring once again.
but on the broom front things are looking interesting,
this summer i'm doing a show with some people from my school (wow, sounds like i'm a spotty 17 year old). the circus school is officially closed for the summer, but the're giving me the keys.
one of my less interesting broom related tasks is to keep the school clean,
and the second much more interesting one is that in our new show, i get to sweep the floor in the opening sequence. complete with a littlie bit of broom isolation.
i,ve been using whatever crappy old broom happened to be lying arround at the school, when we practice, but i'll buy a nice new one soon. |
hates: youtube and all the other crappy flashbased video hosting services.
there's a workaround for those flashbased videos: you can download them to your hard disk (either by looking into your browser's cache, or using a site such as http://keepvid.com). Then, some players can read the resulting .flv file (e.g. mplayer on linux), and some tools can convert to other formats (e.g. ffmpeg). That's the only way my prehistoric computer would play them at more than 3 fps... _________________ "quid Corpus possit, nemo hucusque determinavit" (Spinoza) |

i know, theres ways arround it, a quick google found me a firefox extension that let me download the .flv file which plays fine in vlc.
incidently i'm having a holiday from linux at the moment, since i trashed my ubuntu instalation upgrading from hoary to dapper before they'd fixed all the transition problems. after not using windows for about 5 years i was happy to find that all the decent opensource programs have been ported to windows. and you can get really good pirate software verry easilly using bittorrent. i'd have swithched back already but adobe premiere is much better that cinelerra, and nuendo is way ahead of ardour. when they actually release the new ubuntu i'll switch back. but for now i'm having fun on the dark side.
but i'm getting side tracked into forgetting that crappy embeded video is no way near as good as turbo and the broom. |

I just bought a broom, just like the one Turbo used in that scene from breakdance that I call 'Turbo and the broom'.
Any excuse to say it, really.
Now all I need is some invisible thread and a video camera that works properly. _________________ Sausages and plants and goldfish |
