Hi Munkie. Smile Welcome to the coolest hobby ever.

I've been teaching myself for about 5 months. Take some time to really explore this site because there is a lot of useful information on it -essays, links to tutorial videos, information about moves and what kind of balls to use, where to buy/find cj balls.

I hope you like it.

welcome munkie!!!

i think that books or dvds may help, they helped me,

but at first i've learned the basics from a friend of mine who's a good juggler, and i think that learning from a "live teacher" (someone who's really in front of you when you train the first times) is better, 'cause he can correct your mistakes before they become bad habits.

at first he told me: " everywhere you go, take the ball with you, so you can get used to its weight, to the way it rolls, and so on..."
i found this suggestion very useful

Hi munkie, welcome aboard !

There are some CJers in London if you can sometimes pop over there. This is where I saw Cj for the first time and took a lot of advice from different skilled people... This is when you are lucky to have a "live" teacher.

Then as Thorn and Nagini said, browse the site it's loaded with useful stuff, and if you got a question and can't find an answer anywhere, then don't hesitate to ask it !
videos are helpful and inspiring, the site and youtube are loaded with them. The ministry TV too http://ministryofmanipulation.com/ContactTV/.

Have fun with your playing Smile !

Ahoy there, munkie!

Personally, I started off by reading http://contactjuggling.org/wiki//The_first_five_steps and following briney's fantastic tutorial videos, starting off with http://youtube.com/watch?v=are786WId4U (which pretty much follows the other tutorial)

You can view a list of all briney's tutorials at http://youtube.com/profile_videos?user=brinechild&search_query=CONTACT+LESSON&search=Search

hi all i would say one good way to learn is to get one of your frends into it as whell i started out around easter with a frend. youtube and this site are great!!
but if you can get a frend to try it then the competative side can realy help you to learn fast!!
