i don't know the name of it. i've checked the tutorials and haven't found it. it seems popular, and fairly easy. the one with the hands like:

Are you talking about a half pipe? Thats where your hands are together palm to palm to make a U shape, and the ball goes up one hand, and back down to the other hand like a skateboarder on a half pipe.

YES! that. the only tutorial i found was the walking halfpipe. but, yeah, the U-shape. wait. no, that can't be right. it doesn't go up on hand then back down, it goes up one hand then around, through the gap between hands, then comes down the other hand, looping around

Once you get the palm-palm pass smooth this is a very easy trick to do. There really isn't a trick to it, just mess around for 10-15 minutes and you should be able to figure it out. It really isn't a very complicated trick.

the trick should be self explanatory. let the ball roll down from one palm to the other. then you fling the ball over to the opposite palm with a flick of the fingers or the entire hand. itll get smoother and better with practice

It's a chalice palm to palm with a toss to the fingertips. For me, it's easier to hold my hands at eye level and using a smaller (2.75) ball.
